Traveling

Hi room 7 I will be going to Perth on Friday the 6th of September and will put some pictures of me, Archie, Untie Daniel, Uncle Becky and the baby bump!! Really miss you and I hope that you are all being good because you don't want an angry Santa and grumpy kids!   bye for now and please leave heaps of comments and I wont some boys to comment and some more girls. Friends

Hi room 7 I have made heaps of new friends and have told them all about you!
We have a school canteen aka tuk shop and have awesome food there :D
keep telling me what you guys and the school have been up to. On Monday we are getting a new girl which will be cool!
I got selected at my new school for a girls club. last week I made jewellery and this Wednesday I will be doing weights and treadmills/ exercise in the Jim, the Wednesday after that I will go to a school trip to winteck which me and lots of other girls will get our hair and makeup done.

P.S whoever reads this tell Mr Marquand to read to class thanks heaps for being friends! In the office where the Te Pahu school students that got in the paper board did mine and Amys the one article go up there if It didn't you should put it up there just please don't Amy ha ha ha!

New School

Science fair boards

This term we have been making science boards for a competition in school the best ones can go through and compete against other schools. My board and experiment is to see which popcorn brand pops the most of its kernels. I think my boad is really cool but there are alot more that are cool as well in our class

Tech

Every Thursday we all go to tech. At tech we make and do things with our teachers and subjects. There are four different thing we go to there is, sewing class,wood art, bio-tech and cooking right nowI am in cooking last time we made ham and cheese pinwheels and scones they were yum! Taylor made these ones to the left i gave myself a 9/10. 

 

Kindy Reading

Today, the 5th of May 2013 our class read to the kindy students from Te Pahu. I read to charlie, she is four and loved the books I had read her. Lots of little kids had a great time and were asking for more to read. Even our kids had a good time! The kids loved to get hugs and high fives from us. They all smiled and yelled, The big kids are here! when we all had arrived.

Paper Strip Portraits

In our class we made strip portraits with our faces in the class. My one is called Pixamtay Kaylilly. We had choices to do it in black and white or in colour.I chose colour because you can see who's faces it was a lot clearer.We had to make sure the hair ,chin,ears,neck,mouth,eyes and mouth all fit into place. I think I did really well with mine. The saying that inspired us all was, "Same Same but different."

Science road show

Cross Country

On friday 24th May our school did cross country. All of us had bet our time by a long time.

Lots of people had a good time.  After all of our hard work we had a lovely lunch put on by the P.T.A it was really good.  James was really proud of himself!!

Fish Inquiry

In my class we all did a science experiment on fishy hands.

I volunteered to lift up the fish and I smelt really bad afterwards.People asked to wash there hands with all different products. I'll name a couple. Detergent, vinegar and many more. People had to smell them and then write a hypothesis of what they thought took out the smell and what didn't.

 We also cut up the fish and put them in jars, we put salt on one,lemon juice one one and a plain one just for a check up when we need to.They are now sitting on our class room window sill, we are checking up on them everyday.The fish was an Australasian snapper and weighed 12 kg!!

Swimming

At the begining of this year our class went swimming in the school pool.We all were sculling on our backs for survival.
Sculling is lying on your back in water.We were all practicing our freestyle and many other strokes for swimming sports. After a couple of survival practices we put jeans and a jersey on and tried to swim with them and it was hard to take them off. 

Disguised Dinner

We had a school camp at Lake Karapiro Lodge.
On the second night we all dressed in disguises to hide our identity. It was hard to eat with our costumes on and some people forgot they had masks on.

Makahari Students

Last term students from Makahari high came for a visit to our school. We played Japanese games and listened to Japanese music it was really fun.

Pencil portraits

In room 7 we have been learning how to shade with a pencil and have used a ruler and measured the right places so  it's symetrical. Im proud of my work but next time im going to try get my hair lines right, so it does'nt look out of place.
